Our Year in Review
2022 has been an awesome year for COMTO KC!
Here's a recap of everything we've done this year!
In March, we hosted local high school seniors for the Annual Garrett A. Morgan Shadow Day. Students visited and learned about daily operations at the KCATA, the KC Street car, the Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport and ended the day hearing from engineers at Burns & McDonnell Engineering Firm.
In May, we elected our 2022-2024 Executive Board Members.
In June, we had our 4th Annual Triple Play Event in partnership with MoDOT and Bellewether, Ltd.
In July, members of our executive leadership team represented our chapter at the COMTO National Meeting & Training Conference in Fort Lauderdale.
In August, during our 7th Annual Scholarship Banquet, we celebrated the achievements of several deserving individuals including 3 Kansas City area graduating seniors and 2 first year college students who were awarded a total of $10,000 in scholarships.
In September, we had our 2nd Annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser and raised over $7,000 in support of our 2023 scholarship efforts.
Also in September, we co-hosted an event with Women's Transportation Seminar (WTS) and our chapter president attended COMTO’s A View from the Hill legislative advocacy event in Washington, DC.
In December, we celebrated COMTO KC Week 2022 which included 5 days of highlighting our mission to attract new membership. We also adopted 3 classrooms this year as part of our Annual Holiday Drive and had a festive time at our Annual Holiday Party.

Something To Look Forward To
In addition to continuing the planning of COMTO-KC's annual events, we will also be planning to deliver several new networking opportunities in 2023 as well as publishing a quarterly newsletter to keep you all up to date on relevant information, training, education, and professional development opportunities.
